157 years ago, Victor Hugo finished his magnum opus, * "Les Miserables" *.
Victor Hugo passed away in Paris, on May 22, 1885 at the age of 83, when he was still fully in his faculties. His views, both moral and political, and his exceptional work, made him an emblematic character who was honored by the Third Republic with a state funeral, held on June 1 and attended by more than two million people, and with the burial of his remains in the Pantheon in Paris.
This poem that he never tires of reading and rereading millions of times he wrote forever ...
 *I WISH YOU*
I wish you first that you love, and that by loving, you are also loved.
And that, if not, be brief in forgetting and that after forgetting, do not hold grudges.
I wish, then, that it is not so, but that if it is, you know how to be without despairing.
I also wish you have friends, and that, even bad and inconsistent
Be brave and faithful, and let there be at least one you can trust without question.
And because life is like that,
I also wish you have enemies.
Neither many nor few, in the exact measure, so that, sometimes, you question your own certainties. And that among them, there is at least one who is fair,
so you don't feel too safe.
I also want you to be useful, but not indispensable.
And that in bad times, when there is nothing else left, that utility is enough to keep you on your feet.
Likewise, I wish you to be tolerant, not with those who make little mistakes, because that is easy, but with those who make mistakes a lot and irremediably,
and that by making good use of that tolerance, you serve as an example to others.
I wish you that being young you do not mature too quickly, and that when you are mature, you do not insist on rejuvenating,
and that being old do not dedicate yourself to despair.
Because every age has its pleasure and its pain
and it is necessary to let them flow between us.
I wish you by the way that you are sad.
Not every year, but just one day.
But that on that day you discover that daily laughter is good, that habitual laughter is dull and constant laughter is unhealthy.
 I wish you to discover,
with maximum urgency, above and in spite of everything, that there are, and that surround you, oppressed beings, treated with injustice and unhappy people.
I wish you to caress a dog, feed a bird and hear a goldfinch triumphantly erect its morning song, because in this way, you will feel good for nothing. I also want you to plant a seed, no matter how tiny, and accompany it in its growth, so that you discover how many lives a tree is made of.
I also wish you that you have money, because it is necessary to be practical.
And that at least once a year you put some of that money in front of you and say, "This is mine," just to make it clear who owns whom.
I also wish that none of your affections die, but yes
someone dies, you can cry without regret and suffer without feeling guilty.
I wish you finally that, being a man, you have a good woman, and that being a woman, you have a good man, tomorrow and the next day, and that when they are exhausted and smiling, they talk about love to start over.
If all these things come to pass, I have nothing more to wish you.

"होय. पाच सहा किलोमीटरच." मी म्हटलं. "गाडीचं इंजिन जाम झालंय... इंजिनचं काम करावं लागेल." "अहो, नवीन गाडी आहे आणि एवढ्यात इंजिनचं काम?" "ऑइल नसताना गाडी पळवल्याचा परिणाम. इंजिन खोलावंच लागेल." "ठीक आहे. इथंच काम होईल की गाडी मिरजला घेऊन जावी लागेल?"
